Review of "Fate" By: Nikki Sex

"Fate" By: Nikki Sex
Rating: ☆☆☆☆☆

Emily is in her twenties and in love with her brother’s childhood friend, Paul. What Emily finds out when she disguises herself as “Candy” is that Paul is a dominant and Emily soon finds out just how good it can feel to be his submissive. Paul begins falling for “Candy” and Emily must tell him the truth that she and “Candy” are one in the same. Will that mean the end of their budding relationship or can Paul get over the betrayal?
Emily’s character is initially off-putting due to the deceitful manner in which she ends up in Paul’s bed. Once you learn more about Emily, however, you find that she is actually really likable, taking care of both her mother and Paul’s father as well as being Paul’s emotional rock the past few years. She just happens to like her sex a little outside of the “norm” and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. When you learn Paul’s back story, you discover an emotionally wounded man who finds control of his anger and hurt within the dom/sub world. When I read the first few pages of Fate, I thought that I was going to be reading a novel filled with just hot sex, but was pleasantly surprised that it not only contains hot sex but a really well written emotional story with likable characters that fate finally brings together. I can’t wait to see what Nikki Sex writes next.
