Review of the Exposed Series by Hazel Kelly

Kate is a senior in high school. She is beautiful, smart, and the second highest point scorer on the lacrosse team. She also drinks too much- mostly to distract herself from her eating disorder, how much she hates her Mom, and the fact that she can’t stop hooking up with the wrong guy.

Dawn is a young forty something who neither looks nor feels her age. She is a sexy, liberated professional who has always lived by her own rules. Unfortunately, her insistence on personal freedom has left her with a few regrets, one of which is the fact that she is estranged from her family. But she doesn't worry about it much- until she finds out that she doesn’t have another forty years to make amends. The doctor says she’ll be lucky if she lives another six months.

Both of these women are dying inside a little bit every day.

Until fate brings them together.

This contemporary women's fiction series follows the intimate journey of two people searching for hope, love, and family.

**Warning: this story is meant for a mature audience due to contemporary sex scenes and explicit language.

Out of Breath is a provocative coming of age story about the pain of growing up. It is the second book in the Exposed Series by Hazel Kelly.

We have two choices. We can grow up. Or we can self-destruct.

The last thing Kate wants is to be sent away for her reckless behavior in the middle of her senior year. After all, making it to graduation is challenging enough without having to worry about needing an escort to go to the bathroom. So when her estranged Aunt welcomes her with open arms, she is initially relieved. But she has no idea that her life is about to change forever.

The last thing Dawn wants is to be a burden so she decides the best thing to do is skip the awkward goodbyes and just disappear. But when Kate shows up at her door the night before she plans to leave, she can't help but feel that fate has brought them together for a reason. And even though she doesn't have much time to help her, she's prepared to die trying.

Neither of these women can save themselves.

But maybe they can save each other.

This contemporary women's fiction series follows the journey of two people searching for the meaning of hope, love, and family.

Truth Undressed is a compelling coming of age story about coping with the secrets and lies of our past so we can look forward to the future. It is the third and final book in the Exposed Series by Hazel Kelly.

No one you love is ever truly lost to you.

Even though she's finally beginning to exercise some self-compassion, Kate is worried she’ll come undone without Dawn's guidance and support.

But just because Dawn's lost her battle to cancer doesn't mean she's done teaching Kate about life, love, or lust. On the contrary, the message she leaves behind for Kate contains confessions that will change her life forever.

This contemporary women's fiction series addresses the importance of love and family in a world where loss and hard choices are inevitable.
