Review of "Heartfelt Lies" By: Kristy Love

"Heartfelt Lies" By: Kristy Love
Rating: ☆☆☆☆☆

Another amazing read from Kristy Love that is real, raw and gritty.

Starting in the present with Cassie about to marry when Jax appears to stop her, it jumps back to the past to follow their journey from the beginning and includes bits from their present.

Cassie is a waitress raising her son Ben by herself.  Jax enters her diner and so begins their attraction an journey.  Jax is enjoying his newly found freedom at college but so come the challenges and the temptations.  As Jax struggles to support his mother, he gives into temptation and risks losing it all: college, his family and Cassie.

Jax is a good man who adores his family and will do anything for them and this includes Cassie and Ben.  When he is with them he is the man he should be.  He is prone to addiction as his mother was and when this takes hold he becomes the man he shouldn't and is the one thing he is unable to give up for his family.

Thought provoking and emotional.  Jax should not be judged too harshly.  An amazingly good read that will stay with you beyond its conclusion.
