This book picks up right were the first book left off. Nick is off hunting for Brooks thinking that if he takes care of him, then Kate will be safe. Robert, Ryan and Jason are responsible for keeping the kids and Kate safe. Robert finds out that he has a power where he can take someone else's for a short amount of time. Nick sends Kate texts and calls her when he knows that she can't answer. Robert keeps Nick updated on what is happening with Kate and the kids.
Kate is still learning about her powers, she is very close to Cindy. Can't get over the fact that Nick got up and left without a goodbye. Adopted Alex, Zach and Maddy. Alex is still trying to figure out her powers. Zach and Maddy's sister. Kate's adopted daughter. Zach is Alex and Maddy's brother. Trying to figure out how to control his powers. Kate's Adopted Son. Maddy is Zach and Alex's younger sister, she is very sweet. Nick is regretting leaving Kate and the Kids. Found Grace. Is determined to keep Kate and the Kids safe. Jason is Nick's friend, is keeping an eye on Kate and the Kids. 24 years old, teaching Zach how to control his powers. Jen is Jason's sister, teaches self defense and own's her own gym. Robert is Jason and Nate's friend, keeping an eye on Kate and the Kids. Ryan is Nate, Robert and Jason's friend. Has two jobs, helping keep the kids and Kate safe. Cindy is Kate's friend. Grace is going to help take down Brooks.
This is the second book in the Gifted series. I loved the story, but it took me awhile to get into this story, but once I did I couldn't put it down. I look forward to reading more books by Char Webster.
